Greek Language & Culture trip in Ioannina

Each weekly program runs from Monday - Friday.

• Lesson time for groups of 5-6 students is 4 hours.

• Small group (2-4 students) lesson time is 3 hours.

• 1-1 lessons: In case the registration is low in a group class, the student of that class will learn in a 1-1 format with the same fee. 1-1 class time is 90 minutes.

Students of 1-1 lessons take part in the activities with the students of all classes.

The price for the language and culture trip in Ioannina is $645 USD (approx. 550 euros). When combining or joining 2 trips within the same calendar year, you receive an extra discount of $50 USD.

For late registrations (after May 15th): A late registration fee is applied to all registrations ($100 USD or approx. 85 euros), if spots are still available.

The fee includes the lessons, participation to the planned outdoor & indoor learning activities, the “Ioannina activity booklet” and snacks. Please note that the course book, travel expenses, accommodation*, insurance, extra meals, or other expenses are not included in the fee.

The program is a 100% immersion in Greek. It helps upper Intermediate and Advanced learners with all aspects of language, with major focus on speaking, listening & communicating in Greek. The program includes homework and hands-on projects around the town of Ioannina.

Before you join any group or 1-1 class, you’ll take a placement test. In the class, you’ll work with a course book (Ελληνικά στο Π + Φ2, or Ταξίδι στην Ελλάδα 3) & other materials. You will complete various activities, in both writing and speaking, in the class and as homework. The group classes are for up to 6 students.

Yes. There is an adjusted fee for the person who is joining you.

However, please note that this specific program in Ioannina is for Greek learners at the Intermediate & Advanced levels only, and the main communication language is Greek.

1) Cancellations made by the student 90 calendar days or more before the program's start date: the student will receive a total refund, minus any bank fees. Example: The program's start date is May 14th, the last day to receive a full refund is February 13th.

2) Cancellations made by the student less than 90 calendar days OR by Danae Florou | Alpha Beta Greek: the student receives a credit for Greek programs or classes taught in person or virtually (valid for 2 years, from the day of cancellation). Please note that in case of cancellation by Danae Florou | Alpha Beta Greek, there is no refund for tickets, accommodation or any other refund for any expense made by the student.

3) For any language trip refund request, the student is charged any bank charges and fees. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the refund to show on your account.
